Cabaret Private Collection : November’s Little Black V-neck Cocktail Dress
Its almost time for the holiday season! In preparation for all of the fantastic get-togethers, fundraisers, office parties, and romantic evenings we have been working furiously to add some new pieces of vintage-inspired glamor to our Cabaret Private Collection. The newest design has now arrived – so new that we haven’t even decided what to name it yet!
This dress (like all of our Private Collection pieces) is directly styled from one of our favorite vintage gowns to pass through the store. It has a very flattering deep-V neckline and a very flirty round skirt. The highlight detail of this dress is the fantastic 60s style gathering of fabric at the waist.
Like all of the pieces in this collection it is available for custom order in a variety of sizes, colours, and fabrics. However if you are considering one of our pieces for custom order for the holiday season – you may want to get your orders in early.

This tunic style dress brings up the glam quotient by adding a Cleopatra-style detailing at the neck and hemline.

New Vintage Arrival: 1950s Floral Embossed Velvet Dress
The fabric of this dress is very lovely with embossed flowers in the velvet. Lined, and in great condition – its a bit of a lighter weight fabric making it perfect for cooler summer evenings and events in the fall. One of the most interesting design details of this dress is the gathered waist which makes a very flattering drape under the bustline.

New Vintage Arrival: 1960s Shantung Silk Cocktail Dress in Indigo w/ Bow
An absolute favorite! Not just because it photographs really well (perfect for a red carpet appearance) but also because has fantastic fit, finishing, and details. It has a modified sheath construction with a little bow detail. The silk used is a very thick weave and has a beautiful subtle shine. This dress is a winner.

When Janna Polzin, walked through our doors looking for a dress for The Dora Awards this past weekend, we had a wonderful time with her finding the perfect look. After a few different options were explored, Janna found this dress was the one for her and we think she looks spectacular!
Janna is appearing as an alternate in The Sound of Music and was part of the huge search last year for the title role of Maria documented on the series “How do you solve a problem like Maria?”.
