Katie Boland struts the TIFF Red Carpet in Cabaret Vintage - The Cabaret Collection Bijou Dress

We were so pleased that actress Katie Boland who stars in the movie Daydream Nation decided to wear one of our Cabaret Collection pieces, The Bijou, to the movie’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere.  Katie is wearing the Bijou in violet, the classic lines emphasize her Old Hollywood appeal.  Check out her post at Blogto.com, her feature article at TheStar.com and interview with Elle Canada.

Melissa McClelland at Lilith Fair in her 1950s Cabaret Vintage Dress

It has been such a joy for the last year seeing our line of Cabaret Dresses take on a life of their own.  From their inception to these individual pieces leaving the store, its wonderful to see where they end up and how they have become part of so many lives and special events.  We are so happy to have helped so many beautiful brides this year.

Check out all of the lovely ladies who we met at the Sex and The City 2 early screening two weeks ago.  It was a fantastic evening full of fun and great dresses.  It was so wonderful to see so many theatre goers wearing more than jeans and flip flops to a film.  Our favorites included fantastic light summer little black dresses and a couple of vintage prints.

The film itself was a feast for the eyes and we loved the fantastic vintage pieces that were mixed with contributions from contempoary designers.  We are huge Sex and the City fans here at Cabaret and can’t wait to find out if there will be a third installment to the movies as well.
