Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1940’s Little Black Dress
This little black dress is a beautiful addition to any wardrobe. It has the perfect blend of demure sensuality and vintage Hollywood glam. The top of the bodice is a sheer netting with a pearl closure in the back. There is also a decorated concealed pocket at the front to add that special added touch.
Sadly, as I typed this post – the dress has just sold! It will now have a home in the wardrobe of one of our favorite Opera performers. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot it at an upcoming event.
Cabaret Vintage: 1960’s Black Crepe Gown with beaded top
This full-length black crepe gown is an outfit in two pieces – the first an under-dress lined and with using the black crepe fabric at the skirt with a satiny bodice on top. The second piece is a beaded cropped tunic top with a round neck and lovely beaded details on the front. Five button closure at the back of the top and metal zipper on the under-dress. Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1960’s Silk Chiffon Pleated Cocktail Dress
A perfect example of the quality and fine weave of silk chiffon being produced at this time period, the material of this dress is fantastic. Midnight black, it is a bit difficult to show the complexity of the pleating in this piece. The horizontal pleats in this dress make for great movement on the body and are placed on a slight diagonal on the bodice that is very flattering in enhancing the figure. Above the bust line, sheer chiffon is used to create a tunic-like top. At the back the seam above the pleated area is secured with only a hook and eye, giving a peek-a-boo look with the top seam.
