New Vintage Arrival: 1950s Blush Pink Cotton Shirt-style Dress with Textured Details
The best part about this dress is the use of fabric. The cotton is a blush pink and the raised texture is used effectively in various portions of the dress adding interest in a variety of areas with a button front.

Pictured directly above is camera shy (this is as close as I was able to get to her with a lense) photographer, Sara Angelucci at the opening of her exhibit Regular 8 at the Wynick/Tuck Gallery in the 401 Richmond Centre. Sara’s exhibit is part of the Contact 2009 festival continuing till May 30.
When Sara came to us at Cabaret months ago looking for vintage fashions for her models we were only happy to help her. Regular 8 is done in a style which looks like a blown up image of super 8 film depiciting a variety of scenes of life in some magical time between the 1940s to 60s. From pinned updos and wingtip shoes, each model has each vintage detail in place as the camera captures them at weddings, out with friends at a swanky bar for cocktails, or lovingly sharing a priviate moment with a child.

New Vintage Arrival: 1960’s Cotton Earth Toned Striped Dress
This dress is my favorite of the week. It has a stunning combination of colour and great tailoring. The print of this fabric is a very unique mini-colourblock which almost looks African inspired. The construction is so mindful of the pattern, even the pleating of the skirt matches the pattern edges perfectly.
