Trick or Treat on Queen Street!
Dress up or dress up the kids and have some treats in West Queen West this Saturday!
Put on your Halloween costume, bring your little witches and goblins, and Trick or Treat at the incredible shops, restaurants and galleries this Saturday from 11am to 6pm along West Queen West (Bathurst to Gladstone).
We will be giving out candy and treats from 11 – 6pm along with our participating neighbours.
Fill your loot bag, check out the crazy costumes, and enjoy West Queen West, The Creative Heart of the City!

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1940’s Wine Taffeta Cocktail Dress

This is the quintessential 1940s ball gown. In a wine coloured taffeta,this dress is best worn with a full crinoline authentic to the period. However, even without the wide girth of a crinolined skirt this gown still stands in a league of its own. The skirt is accented by a basket-weave of fabric that adds even more texture to the overall look. The front detailing frames the neckline in a very flattering way and creates a small waist with the boning throughout the bodice. This dress has a metal zipper at the side. Hey Tao,
Just wanted to drop you a quick note and two of the first snapshots I have been sent of how my gorgeous dress (and sweet veil) turned out. We had a September 11th wedding, outdoors, at Meridian Beach, Alberta. It was the first and only break in the rain there in the last two weeks. THANK YOU for helping me find this, my second and last mintue dress. I felt beautiful and everything looked perfect. I cannot even tell you how many “you look stunning” and “you look like you stepped out of Vogue” comments I got and am still receiving. I could not have worn that first dress I had bought and all day I kept repeating how my Cabaret dress was absolutely PERFECT for me!
I cannot express how happy I am that everything came together.

Cabaret Vintage: 1960’s Black Crepe Gown with beaded top

This full-length black crepe gown is an outfit in two pieces – the first an under-dress lined and with using the black crepe fabric at the skirt with a satiny bodice on top. The second piece is a beaded cropped tunic top with a round neck and lovely beaded details on the front. Five button closure at the back of the top and metal zipper on the under-dress.
