Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: A new addition to the Cabaret Collection
Posted on | June 5, 2011 | No Comments

As with most of the dresses in our Cabaret Collection, this piece is principally sold in a lush poi de soie. It gives a shimmering richness that we love, not to mention being so plush to touch. Usually one of the first comments from women who try on Cabaret Collection dresses is “Its so soft on!”. Well if you are going to look stunning, why not feel comfortable as well?

This particular dress is a bit of a transformer with a variety of different looks that can be achieved with additional accessories. the bow pictured at the side can be moved to the other side or the centre of the bustline. For an even more minimal look it can even be removed completely. Pictured above is the dress with a short train. When paired with the dress it gives an almost flower-like silhouette with striking bold lines. It can be ordered at the short length shown, or gown-length so it sweeps the floor. For a wedding a longer train would look lovely walking down the aisle. However for later during the reception removing the train, or a shorter one may be more practical for a bride who may be cutting up the dance floor.

Though we have received a great response from brides-to-be for our Cabaret Collection dresses, never forget that all of our designs are also available in a rainbow of colours for any women having to attend an event that would love to add a touch of vintage-inspired beauty for their look. This particular dress looks absolutely stunning in Onyx (in fact we will be posting pictures of it over the next few days.)

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1960′s Antique Satin White Coat
Posted on | June 4, 2011 | No Comments

As the weather gets warmer, its tempting to dress lighter for early evening events and to finally exile the heavy coat you’ve been sporting all winter to the back of the closet. However, sometimes the evening stretches to night and somehow the trip home is always freezing. This 1960′s Antique Satin White Coat is the perfect solution. Not only is it relatively lightweight, but it also the perfect weight of satin to keep off the evening chill late in the night.

It has a covered 5 button closure at the front that is fastened with fabric loops that are made with the same lovely satin as the coat. What elevates this coat beyond just a simple wrap is that its neutural shade is perfect with many colours so it has great versatility, but also it has fantastic lines in the back focusing in on two inverted pleats that add a bit of swing to the coat that gives the wearer freedom of movement.

This coat can be paired with the Antique White Satin tunic dress also currently in stock for a complete matching look.
Size: M/L

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1960′s Antique White Satin Dress
Posted on | June 3, 2011 | No Comments

Why does the perfect little black dress have to be black? This vintage 1960′s satin dress in a beautiful antique white has a slight shimmer and creates a razor sharp silhouette for a variety of body shapes. The antique white of the fabric is so neutral it goes with just about any occasion so it will give you a lot of wardrobe millage and unique looks by varying hairstyles and accessories. Just like the traditional Little Black Dress, this one can go anywhere and make you look fantastic when you get there.

The simplicity of the design makes this dress timeless and very easy to wear. The shoulders are cut a tad more on an angle than usual which gives it a very flattering broad neckline while being very flattering to women who may be a bit wary of wearing sleeveless.

This dress goes well with the 1950′s Antique White Coat also in stock right now to create a full suited look.

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1960′s Sequined Top with dress
Posted on | June 2, 2011 | No Comments

Together or separately, these are two smart-looking pieces. Below, the crepe-like dress can be worn on its own as a great wardrobe basic. The ticker sized spaghetti straps are comfortable and the high-waist is very flattering. At the back, there is a slight dip making the dress a bit more sensual than the same-old basic dress. It is also cut to hug curves and is great at accentuating various assets.

Very quickly, glamour can be added to this look by simply putting on the expertly crafted beaded top. Shinny and sensual, it draws the eye with its mix of blues, violets, and silver. The beading is very dense and of very high quality (the top has some physical weight to it) and could be worn on its own.

Both pieces are lovely extremely well crafted. Would be great for attending a formal dinner or fund raising event where the wearer would like some shine, without showing too much skin directly.

Bust: 34″
Hips: 38″
$425 (as presented)
