Just in time for Prom – A special offer to you
We’re approaching the tail end of March Break and the store has been hopping with lots of students from all over Ontario (as well as a few fantastic young ladies from Detroit) looking for the perfect prom dress. Whether the goal is new or vintage, short or tea or gown length we have been having a great time finding the perfect dream dress for the most wonderful girls.
To celebrate them we will be offering a 20% discount for high school students with a valid id from March 15 to April 15 2013 on all of our Cabaret Collection dresses and accessories. We have quite a few new designs that are not yet listed on our official site, so be sure to visit us in-store for the latest designs.
In most cases prom is the big formal occasion in a young lady’s life. The first time that you can truly be the princess you imagined in your head and have a memorable evening with your friends and those who matter most to you to celebrate all of your achievements so far.
There are so many more events to look forward to in the future; but prom is usually always the first. We would love more girls to be able to afford to make the Cabaret Collection part of this most special memory so we’ve decided to have this sale just for them for the first time ever.
Currently the collection spans over 25 different designs in a spectrum of over 30 shades and colours. As all of our dresses are made to order by hand here in Toronto we can guarantee the highest quality of fabrics and construction in timeless designs. With all of our Cabaret Collection pieces, we hope to create the vintage of tomorrow; styles so timeless and classic that future prom girls (maybe daughters of our current ones) will wear these dresses to their own special events.
To guarantee delivery of you Cabaret Collection dress for May 15th, orders must be finalized by April 15th.

Vintage Diva Glam: Jill Barber and Tao Drayton on Etalk
Its always a pleasure having Jill Barber in the store. Its especially grand that she made the time for a visit during the launch of her new CD. Check out this great clip from Etalk as Jill tries out a variety of vintage look a la some of history’s most talented songstresses.
Cabaret Vintage: 1940′s Billie Holiday-style Glamour Dress
This dress recently appeared on a great segment of E!Talk worn by the lovely Jill Barber when she recently visited Cabaret to speak about her newly released cd and her passion for fashion. We’ve received a few inquires about the dress so we thought we would re-feature this great find.
This is an original 1940s original with some of the beautiful touches that were a halmark of that period. A great stage-style dress, the top of the bodice is a beige coloured netting that has been hand detailed with rhinestones. At the side, the flower accent that graces the hip is comprised of silk handcut and assembled petals of various fabric colours. Together they create a stunning bouquet. As the segment on E!Talk points out, this dress is very Billie Holliday in nature with the great styling and cut of the bodice and hem.

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1960′s Silver Brocade Dress
Hyper-futuristic and yet sophisticated at the same time, this is a standout cocktail dress. Sleeveless, and without a collar it gives the impression of being very minimalist in design but has great subtle details such as the v at the neck or the cinching sash at the back. Nylon zipper at back.

Cabaret Vintage New Arrival: 1950′s Pale Blue Chiffon Dress
This dress is the lightest of pale blues and is light as a cloud. Made from airy translucent chiffon it utilizes the weight of the fabric to make a striking detailed front with a geometric drape at the bust accented with a bow. The full skirt is lined with both a satin underskirt and light tulle to provide structure. Metal zipper at the back.
