What I think I love most about Ms. Judith, is that she is a stellar example of dressing from head to toe.  From her killer grey stilettos, to the top of her recently acquired bowler hat (picked up at Cabaret Vintage) you can see that thought went into the selection of each article of clothing.  Leading busy lifestyles and having 24h schedules in most cases many outfits are chosen by the criteria of what’s closest to hand and is of similar colour.  Judith, busy as ever with work, events, and family still makes it a priority to dress well.  I especially love the punch of her textured stockings.  She is worthy of a photo every time she visits.  If you get to meet her, just hope that she has time to tell you a story from her extraordinary life.  You don’t get to meet people like Judith very often!

Don’t know if its due to the beard or just the elegant confidence but though a only a few pieces aren’t new, there is just an overall look of rugged vintage in his look.  Form the work-worn boots to the denim shirt underneath, the overall look is both masculine and stylish.

To complete the look we suggested that he try a pair of our vintage 1950s perscription sunglasses.  Just a quick trip to the optometrist and this can be a great spring look.

As today in downtown Toronto proves, Winter 2011 is not ready to leave gracefully.  However, though there is a bit of snow still on the ground, there are still some early looks towards spring.  We love looking ahead to great vintage-look flats in neutrual colours.

For the slightly cooler days, there is still time to show off capes and lots of knits.  This lovely duo are visitors from London that found our store on Queen.  We’re going to miss the heavier weight wool capes and leg-warmers as spring approaches.

This beautiful pale yellow gown is made from a very soft lush silk.  The beading on this dress flows form the neckline to the hem in a swirling vine-like pattern on the train.  The main body of the dress skirt has a fitted sheath fit and a kick split at the back with a metal zipper.  For more details and images, take a look at this piece in our online boutique.

Cabaret Vintage Client Joanna on TorontoVerve.com

One of our favorite ladies about town Joanna, was recently caught by the lens of streetstyle blog TorontoVerve.org.  Wearing her vintage 1970’s  fox trimmed leather coat, she is definitely an original on the streets of Toronto and London.  Statement pieces such as this one arrive frequently, so be sure to always check out our outerwear pieces instore or online to keep both warm and original.

At Cabaret we have the belief that it’s all in the details, especially when trying to create the perfect look.  One area that is often overlooked is outerwear.  When you have the perfect dress, the ultimate pair of shoes, and great accessories but then put on the same old coat that you wear to work everyday, it doesn’t continue the spectacular look that you have created.

Meet Pamela, who is wearing one of our beautiful vintage opera coats in burgundy velvet.  The coat, an original from the late 1930s and adds glamour to a fantastic evening out, completing her look.  Thanks to Pamela and Nick for the great photos!

Melinda is one of our winners for the Scott Pilgrim screening tickets we had for giveaway.  When she came in the store with her perfect haircut and fantastic outfit just had to add her to the Streetstyle Section.
