This dress recently appeared on a great segment of E!Talk worn by the lovely Jill Barber when she recently visited Cabaret to speak about her newly released cd and her passion for fashion.  We’ve received a few inquires about the dress so we thought we would re-feature this great find.

This is an original 1940s original with some of the beautiful touches that were a halmark of that period.  A great stage-style dress, the top of the bodice is a beige coloured netting that has been hand detailed with rhinestones.  At the side, the flower accent that graces the hip is comprised of silk  handcut and assembled petals of various fabric colours.  Together they create a stunning bouquet.  As the segment on E!Talk points out, this dress is very Billie Holliday in nature with the great styling and cut of the bodice and hem.

Touchable pink brocade with a medium-sized rose pattern; this dress is beautifully fitted with various darts along the bodice making it a flattering fit.  A short sash at the back is fastened by two metal snaps. The inner-skirt is lined with a cotton-blend interfacing that has pilled over time and shows some wear (but not on the outside).  Nylon zipper at the back.

Hyper-futuristic and yet sophisticated at the same time, this is a standout cocktail dress. Sleeveless, and without a collar it gives the impression of being very minimalist in design but has great subtle details such as the v at the neck or the cinching sash at the back.  Nylon zipper at back.

This dress is the lightest of pale blues and is light as a cloud.  Made from airy translucent chiffon it utilizes the weight of the fabric to make a striking detailed front with a geometric drape at the bust accented with a bow.  The full skirt is lined with both a satin underskirt and light tulle to provide structure.  Metal zipper at the back.

This vintage designer dress has lovely details making it a perfect little black dress with sophistication.  The front of the bodice has a lovely drape and creates great lines with the soft jersey fabric construction.  Each of the main lines are accented with rhinestone chevrons that are mounted on a plastic backing( rather than just a fabric ribbon).  The back has a plunging line with saucy mesh peak-a-boo openings at the waist.  Metal zipper at the back.  For more details and images, take a look at this piece in our online boutique.

A beautiful ball gown with a calf length hemline.  The colour is a bright peacock blue with a slight shimmer in the taffeta.  The bubble skirt is very unique in that there is an upward drape towards the top tucking into a cummerbund-like waistband.  The bodice is decorated with small and large sequin all in a darker peacock blue and the off the shoulder straps are slightly curved in a flattering line.  Metal zipper at back.  For more details and images, take a look at this piece in our online boutique.

This dress is composed of lime brocade with gold details. The stylized paisley pattern is picked out in gold sequins in the middle and emerald coloured beads at the edges. The combination of the two creates a very memorable overall impression especially when paired with the classic 60’s A-line tunic dress style.
