From that same period depicted, this flower printed dress would have fit in perfectly with that scene. Its made from a light taffata with a very flattering cut in the back. Also be sure to check out the beautiful detailing at the waist with a hidden fan pleat to give the skirt its volume.

New Vintage Arrival: 1970s Sequined Black Cocktail Length Dress with Chiffon Detailing
The almost pecock-feather design in sequin is the star of this dress. Not to be outdone though, is the fine black beaded detailing in a starburst pattern from the hip to hem of the skirt. At the bottom of the hem as well as the neckline there are further heavy beaded details forming a boarder at the edges. All of this is backed on a black chiffon providing a sort of peek-a-boo look at the front and back.
